Over his 40+ year consulting career, and as one of the most tenured Senior Partners at McKinsey, Mr. Lundquist has provided strategic advice and counsel to CEOs, their Boards of Directors, and senior management, on topics ranging from organization and governance to business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and operational improvement.
He is the Chairman of the Board of Master Fluid Solutions, a manufacturer of specialty chemicals used in advanced metalworking and manufacturing and has recently been a member of the Board of Directors of EDAC Technologies, a producer of highly engineered aerospace components, and of Align Aerospace, a leading supplier of hardware and related components throughout the aerospace supply chain. and is a member of the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association. He is a Senior Partner Emeritus of McKinsey & Company, Inc., an international management consulting firm where, he headed the Global Aerospace and Defense Practice and oversaw the Firm’s service to leading aerospace and defense companies worldwide.
After graduating with distinction from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Mr. Lundquist served over 8 years as an Air Force officer, culminating as Special Assistant for Aircrew Matters reporting directly to the Commander-in-Chief of the Military Airlift Command. A Flight Examiner Navigator on the C-5A, he accumulated over 2,000 hours of flight experience in worldwide operations, including service during the 1973 Mid-East war.
He holds an M.A. in International Affairs (National Securities Studies concentration) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a Masters in Public Policy from the School of Government of Harvard University. He was a Founding Director of the United States Air Force Academy Endowment Board, a Trustee of the Sea Research Foundation which oversaw Dr. Robert Ballard’s Institute for Exploration and The Mystic Aquarium, and was a Director of the Jason Project which focuses on motivating students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
